Candle Wick Guides

Find the right wick for your candles.

Our wicking chart table below is designed for the candle waxes we distribute, reflecting both our experience and feedback from our customers. The recommended wick series and sizes are intended as starting points for common container diameters, not as definitive solutions. We strongly recommend conducting your own tests with your chosen vessel, fragrance, and dye to ensure safe, optimal candle performance. Proper wick selection may vary depending on your unique ingredients and container style.

  • For soy waxes (Golden Brands), CD and ECO wick series are recommended for most container sizes.
  • For Calwax Coco Apricot/Ceda Serica, a range of cotton wicks (CD, ECO, LX) and wooden wicks work well.
  • For Calwax EC26Accublend, and Makesey coconut blends, our wooden wicks are usually suggested, with size matching your vessel diameter.
  • Start with these recommendations, but wick choice should be adjusted after your own burn tests, especially with fragrance and dye loads.

Always conduct your own wick testing in actual vessels with your full candle formula. Container diameter, shape, fragrance load, and color additives can all affect the best wick size and series.
