Being rigid, wooden wicks are very easy to use, saving time and money in production. There is no need to secure to a wick bar or dowels and no straightening is needed as there is with cotton wicks, which require a great deal of time to set up. Wooden wicks do not mushroom, have little to no carbon build-up and no debris.
Crackling Booster Wood Wicks (Wick Chart)
SIZE | WIDE (“) | WIDE (mm) | Diameter |
SMALL | 0.375″ | 9.5 mm | 1.5-2″ |
MEDIUM | 0.50″ | 12.5 mm | 2-2.5″ |
LARGE | 0.625″ | 15.6 mm | 2.5-3 “ |
X LARGE | 0.75″ | 19.1 mm | 3-3.5 “ |
Note: We recommend testing new wick sizes when making any modifications to existing candle recipes or making new candles. Burning characteristics can be altered by changes in wax, fragrance oil, dye, and/or additives, which could result in a different optimal wick size for the same diameter candle.
